Conor Wilson (Belfast, Ireland, 1964) studied ceramics to BA and MA level in Bristol and Cardiff respectively. After building a studio and gas-fired trolley kiln in Bristol he completed several large-scale public commissions, before concentrating on the production of series of smaller, more personal works. Many of these are held in public and private collections around the world, including the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.

Having worked as a lecturer, in both theory and practice, at BA and MA levels since 1992, Wilson is now course leader for MA Ceramics at Bath School of Art & Design. He has recently completed an AHRC funded, practice-based PhD at the Royal College of Art, entitled Writing Making: Object as body, language and material.
